A weekend collision has claimed the life of a woman and injured three others, including a toddler. 

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 50 at Road 99 North in the RM of Westlake-Gladstone. 

RCMP said a southbound car crossed the northbound lane, striking the oncoming vehicle head-on. The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 35-year-old woman from Sandy Bay First Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, a 36-year-old man from Langruth, was seriously injured and transported to hospital. 

The driver of the southbound car, a 19-year-old from The Pas, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was also transported to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His passenger, a 2-year-old boy, was treated for minor injuries and released. 

RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
