LISTEN: Jordan St. Cyr gives hopeful update on daughter and shares new single
After a tumultuous few years, Jordan St. Cyr is celebrating all God has done in his life. "This song was birthed out of the storm and walking through the fire," says St. Cyr. "God calls us to a relationship with His son, Jesus, and when we dig in with Him we realize that the foundation in our lives, no matter the storm, it is set." 'My Foundation' is the title track of St. Cyr's new album which will be released on June 14. "The title track really sums up the heartbeat of the album. We're on the other side of our fire, of our storm, and so then, how will we operate? Really, this album is one of celebration. I hope it's a blessing and encouragement to those that are facing tough times, knowing that this too shall pass." .embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; } St. Cyr and his wife have four children, two boys and two girls. Their fourth child, a daughter Emery, was born with a rare condition called Sturge-Weber Syndrome which causes many seizures. The couple has been to the hospital almost more than they can count in the first four years of her life. "I don't believe God causes the hard seasons. But He uses everything. Nothing is wasted for Him." St. Cyr and his family are praising God as their youngest hasn't experienced a seizure for the past year and a half. "It's been an odd privilege. It's odd because it's something we should push against. But the privilege is that you get to see the world in such a beautiful light, and this little one has become such a light in our lives, leading us towards Jesus. She learned how to ride her bike last summer and graduating preschool. She's doing so great and we're grateful. We hope that this is the progression. However, should something happen, we know God's got us." On top of releasing the new album, My Foundation, in June, St.Cyr will be touring all summer across the U.S. as well as a show or two in his home province, Manitoba. The family of six now reside near Nashville, TN. .embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }
