A 19-year-old woman is recovering after being struck by a vehicle over the weekend. 

The crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Pembina Highway and McGillivray Boulevard. 

Police say the pedestrian ran in the path of a northbound vehicle and was struck as there was no time for the driver to avoid a collision.

 The woman was rushed to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable. 

No charges are anticipated.
