As of 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, one new case of COVID-19 has been identified in Southern Health and a total of 29 cases have been identified across the province.

However, a case previously reported on September 19 has now been removed from the case totals. This means the total net new cases today is 28, bringing the number of cases in Manitoba to 1,586.

The majority of these cases, 23, have been found within the City of Winnipeg.

Presently, there are 354 active cases of the virus province-wide. 11 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, three of whom are in intensive care. The number of coronavirus-related deaths remains at 16.

Altogether, a total of 1,216 individuals have recovered from COVID-19. The total number of lab tests completed since early February is164,177.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 1.9 per cent.
