More Manitoba schools are transitioning to remote learning because of growing COVID-19 case counts.

The province says as of yesterday, 21 schools had fully moved into remote learning.

A total of 416 cases in schools over the past two weeks has resulted in 3,554 close contacts, including in households.

Public health officials say shutting down schools has to be balanced with the effect it has on student development.
