A Winnipeg fireworks shop that was robbed over the weekend is offering some of its wares as a reward for information that leads to the arrest of the thief.

Matt Bialek of Red Bomb Fireworks says someone smashed a window with a rock early Sunday and made off with only about $100 worth of fireworks, but the damage to the window will cost $5,000.

Bialek reported the theft to police and posted photos of the suspect caught by his security camera on the store's Facebook site.

He says that the man was hanging out in the area for several minutes before and after the incident at 6:29 a.m.

The reward is a $1,000 "Show in a Box'' fireworks set that includes 52 individual fireworks, with such names as Sky Dancer, Atom Smasher, and Bone Crusher.

The alleged thief was wearing a black Marilyn Munroe hoodie, a beige cactus-print button up under-shirt, grey sweat pants, a black “Snap On” hat with red lettering, a red and grey “Roots” backpack, and black skate shoes.

Bialek says information can be emailed to sales@redbomb.com, or contact the Winnipeg Police Service with your information.
