Matthew Heneghan had experienced more in his life by the time he was 8 years old than many of us experience in our entire lifetime.
Once a medic in the Canadian Forces and a paramedic in the civilian world, he has a varied and traumatic past. Facing childhood abuse, addiction, suicide ideation, incredible loss, mental illness, he finds himself left without any hope.
In 2017 Matthew was diagnosed with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and major depressive disorder, but despite this diagnosis, Matthew has learned to find hope.
He has now taken his life experience and put it in a book, A Medic's Mind.
