The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is asking for the public's help identifying two women linked to a recent murder. 

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 4:30 a.m., the WPS responded to a report of an injured female located at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Kennedy Street.

Central Patrol officers attended and located a deceased female victim within a common area of the apartment.

Regarding the suspicious death of a female in the 400 block of Kennedy Street, the victim has now been identified as Doris Lydia Trout, 25, of Winnipeg.
 
Trout’s death has been determined a homicide, and the Homicide Unit continues to investigate.  
 
Investigators seek the public’s assistance in identifying two females. They are considered people of interest; any information about their travels before and after the incident is helpful.
