Andrew Harris is retiring, and he's making sure it's with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Harris, who attended Oak Park High School, played as a free agent with the Bombers from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that he played for the B.C. Lions for six seasons.

Andrew's contract expired on Feb. 8, 2022, and he decided  to signed with the Toronto Argonauts.

Harris is a four-time Grey Cup champion,  two-time winner of the Grey Cup Most Valuable Canadian and one-time Grey Cup Most Valuable Player. This included helping the Bombers winning their first Grey Cup since 1990.

To end his career, Harris will sign a one-day contract with the Bombers, allowing him to retire in his hometown.

"Closing out my football career with the Blue & Gold! 🙏🏽🖤" said Andrew in a post on Facebook.

A special red-carpet signing ceremony will take place alongside Blue Bombers President and CEO Wade Miller on April 27 at The Met, the same night Andrew's documentary Running Back Relentless makes it debut on the big screen.
