Environment and Climate Change Canada says there is a small potential for another strong storm to head through southern Manitoba on Monday, October 21.

Meteorologist Mike McDonald says they're watching the forecast closely.

"Fortunately, this one looks like it's going to be milder, so it'll probably be just rain"

"We sort of look at two or three different long range computer models, and each one of them is showing another strong Colorado Low coming up on Monday," says McDonald. "The location varies differently with the computer models. One has it going up through Lake Superior. Another one through Minnesota. Another one comes up into southern Manitoba."

He says it does not appear to be as strong as what we saw this past weekend.

"Fortunately, this one looks like it's going to be milder, so it'll probably be just rain," says McDonald. "There is certainly potential for another strong Colorado Low on election day Monday."

Over the next couple of days, they are anticipating what McDonald calls "nice weather".

"We're expecting daytime highs to gradually warm up as we head into the Friday and Saturday period. We're looking for daytime highs around 11 and 12, so, quite a bit milder conditions right on through the weekend," says McDonald.

"Normal high this time of year is 10, so, not that much above normal, but certainly a lot better than what we put up with over the weekend."
