Originally the Arlington Bridge was supposed to be closed for construction until October 5, but today the city announced the closure will be extended.
The city hopes to reopen the Arlington Bridge to traffic at 6:00 am on Monday, October 12.
In the meantime, pedestrian access will continue to be maintained.
Until then, people commuting should allow for longer travel time.
Also, if it's possible, they should use alternate routes such as the McPhillips Street Underpass or Slaw Rebchuk Bridge to reach their destinations.
