Without trying to be too presumptuous, the "Bible Answer Man" has announced that the Lord has saved his life.

Hank Hanegraaff, a Youtube vlogger and broadcaster, shared in an 11-minute video posted July 17 about his hospital stay where he underwent treatment for cancer, CBN News reports.

The broadcaster underwent 40 days of treatment for mantle cell lymphoma, a rare form of the disease that develops due to the body's creation of irregular B-cells which build up on lymph nodes, making them larger. The non-Hodgkin lymphoma was treated by doctors using allogeneic stem cell transplantation.

"Only the Lord knows our days ... But the doctors that I've talked to are very, very optimistic about the success of the stem cell transplant," said Hanegraaff, after announcing that "the Lord supernaturally saved me from dying."

His experiences have changed his perceptions, Hanegraaff explained, sharing that Psalm 118:17 had been stuck in his head: "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."

Hanegraaff said, "To see the finger of God, visible yet invisible, is a wondrous thing ... I know that every experience that we have is precious to the Lord."

He also says that he knows the suffering he went through and that others are going through will be used by Christ for salvation.

After his time in intensive care, the broadcaster is grateful to all of his viewers and those who have supported him throughout his illness.

"I am so incredibly blessed to have so many wonderful people praying for me all over the world," he said. "No doubt it was the prayers of God's people that showed the invisible, yet visible, hand of God in prolonging my life and giving me a new lease on life."

The announcement of his remission came last November, a feat that he credited to the work of the doctors running his clinical trial, and the grace of God. He was first diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and immediately requested prayer.

Hanegraaff is also the president and chairman of the board of the Christian Research Institue in North Carolina, in addition to hosting his national radio broadcast, "Bible Answer Man."

"It has been an extraordinary journey," Hanegraaff said.
