The Irwin family is welcoming a new addition to their family, a girl named Grace.

Bindi Irwin, the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin's daughter, and her husband Chandler Powell are celebrating the birth f their daughter and one-year anniversary on the same day.

"Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and the day of birth to our beautiful daughter," she writes on Facebook.

"There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed."

Their daughter, named Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, was born at 5:52 p.m. weighing 7 lbs 7 ounces, and 20 inches long.

"Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad."

While culturally Australians are quiet about their faith, Bindi's mother Terri is an outspoken Christian.

"Love is not a big enough word. My heart is so incredibly happy. And I know that Steve would be beyond proud," Terri writes on Twitter. "Grace is the next generation to continue his mission and message of conservation. She chose her parents wisely. Bindi and Chandler are already the best parents ever!"

Bindi replied, saying "We love you beyond words."

When Bindi and her husband first announced her pregnancy they asked for prayers for their baby.
