Hillsong Young & Free is in Winnipeg tonight, and the concert has been sold out for some time. That's why I wasn't surprised to see another email asking for tickets in my inbox yesterday morning. It's a request I simply can't fulfill so I almost replied immediately with a "Sorry, but I can't help," and move on. But I got busy with my show and delayed the reply. I'm so glad I did.

The email started by saying they just found out about the concert and discovered it was too late to buy tickets. She had actually sent the email to the church where the concert was being hosted, and they passed it on to me:

I know this is a real long shot but so worth a try. If you don't ask you might miss a possible opportunity.

I have a young friend named **** who is dealing with many health issues, one being brain cancer. She literally listens to Christian music 24/7. An evening filled with Hillsong music would be great medicine and a much-needed break from medical appointments/treatments.

She gets around in a wheelchair and I'm wondering if there is somewhere off to the side or in a corner where she could park and enjoy this uplifting music.

I don't know who could make this request a possibility so I'm sending it to the church and leaving it in God's hands.
Thanks for listening.

As soon as I finished in the studio I went to my office to catch up on the morning's emails. I sat down and opened my inbox, and as soon as I did a new email popped up with the subject "FREE CONCERT TICKETS DONATION."

Sigh, another person looking for free tickets I, unfortunately, can't give them, right? Wrong.

I opened up the email and discovered a man writing to say he thought he was buying tickets for Hillsong Worship. When he realized that Young & Free is for a "younger crowd" he decided to not attend. Instead of trying to sell his tickets he was asking me if I would be able to give them to someone deserving.

Doesn't God's timing amaze you? Or maybe it was all just coincidence? No, I'm going with God's timing.

I was able to phone the lady from the original email and tell her that we could get her not one, not two, but three tickets to the show. "Ok, who do I pay and how do I get them?" she asked me on the phone.

"Nope, check your email inbox. I just hit send to an email with the tickets attached, and they are free." I was able to tell her what had all just transpired.

"I just got goosebumps," she replied.

God's timing does amaze me, and it's always incredible to watch what happens when we step out, take a chance, and leave the rest in God's hands.

Oh, and the concert looks like it will be a blast:
