Travis Rudolph is appearing in court Thursday, facing murder charges after an incident in Florida where he allegedly shot at four people, killing at least one man.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are announcing they have released Travis Rudolph, a 25-year-old wide receiver who never stepped onto the field for a game.

"The organization was made aware of Travis Rudolph’s arrest this morning and he has subsequently been released. Rudolph was signed in December of 2019 and did not play in a game for the Blue Bombers," Darren Cameron, the team's Senior Director of Public and Player Relations tweets.

Palm Beach County authorities, where Rudolph is from, say just after midnight Wednesday, a double shooting occurred. The first shooting occurred in the 500 block of N Redwood Drive Lake Park killing one man. In West Palm Beach, a man was sent to the hospital. Rudolph is being charged with both events and other shootings by Palm Beach's sheriff's office.

"The additional charges seen below are in regards to a total of four individuals “shot at or by” Travis Rudolph. Two were struck by gunfire; one is still in the hospital, one is deceased and two were not injured," Florida authorities tweet.

He is facing First Degree Murder and Attempted First Degree Murder with no bond.
