Assiniboia Downs Canada Day Fireworks and Festival

There will be a spectacular fireworks display by CanFire Pyrotechnics, kids’ activities, live bands, food trucks, and 100+ artisans! 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Great Transcona Canada Day Scavenger Hunt

The Scavenger Hunt consists of a number of questions, with answers located in outdoor spaces around the Transcona Business Improvement Zone. All participating teams will go into the draw to win one of 3 Summer Fun Packs.

Canada Day at the Children's Museum

What better way to celebrate Canada’s Birthday than with a homemade sparkler?! Join the Children's Museum from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. as they create colourful crafty sparklers that little hands can enjoy over and over again.

Canada Day Super Run

Bring the family and kick off Canada Day with a fun race of either 5km, or 3km or bring the crew and do the Family Fun Run 3km! 

Celebrate Canada Day in Bridgewater Lakes Park

The Winnipeg Chinese Senior Association (WCSA) is organizing Canada Day celebrations which will be held at the fountain and park area in Bridgwater Lakes. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Canada Day at the Wetland Discovery Centre

Bring the whole family for an exciting day of all things Canada. Participate in a guided canoe adventure or rent your own canoe to explore the Marsh at your own pace. Have the Canadian flag or your favourite marsh critter painted on your hand.

People of the Red River

New Day at the Forks

The Forks is reimagining its July 1st activities this year in a way that includes a reflective, inclusive and fun day for everyone to come together. There will be multiple pop-up areas with live performances and activities, more than 150 artists and community members, hands-on workshops, and so much to see and do. 

Canada Day Paddle

On July 1st, Canada Day, participants can sign up for a two-hour tour that involves night paddling on Lake Winnipeg after which we will ‘raft up’ to take in the annual Canada Day Fireworks Show at Gimli Harbour.  It is exciting to bob along as a group while the night sky comes alive with colour.
