Borders will remain closed to non-essential traffic for at least the next month.

Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair noted today that the reciprocal restrictions at the Canada-US borders will remain in place for another 30 days. He says those restrictions will be reevaluated on September 21st.

Blair indicated these measures will be maintained to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. "We will continue to do what is necessary to keep our community safe," he said.
