Mark Hall, frontman of Casting Crowns, recently sat down and shared his thoughts behind one of their new songs 'Crazy People.'

"If you've walked with Jesus for a little while, you've probably discovered, people look at us like we're a little different," says Hall in a YouTube video, sharing the story behind the song.

The single is on Casting Crowns' new album Healer, released January 14.

"As a matter of fact, Paul, I believe in 1 Corinthians 1 says that the message of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing. It's only seen through faith. We follow a God we've never seen, we pray to a God we've never heard, and on faith, we put all our weight of our life in this God we've never seen that we know is real."

The album is filled with songs that are based on certain scripture verses in the Bible.

"Let me just tell you, that looks a little crazy to the world."

"I think all the people that we would consider heroes in the Bible, the things they would do, the steps that they would take to follow a God they've never seen, the world sees that as crazy. And I say, this world could use some more crazy people."

Hall also shares that part of the inspiration for this song was taken from the book of Hebrews, as it outlines many 'crazy' believers back in the day.

"We need some people that start loving people like crazy, that start serving like crazy, that start stepping out and giving like crazy," says Hall.
