Police say no there were no injuries after a gun was reported to have been seen inside Cadillac Fairview Polo Park Monday afternoon.

A CO2-powered BB pistol caused a stir Monday after a 23-year-old man pulled the item out of his handbag inside the mall's food court to show another person.

The man showed the handgun to the other person and then put it back inside his bag, leaving the mall. Security waws contacted, who told police the man's description.

A short distance away at Portage Avenue and Tylehurst Street, officers found the man, taking him into custody and seizing the gun.

When inspected, police learnt the gun was a CO2-powered BB pistol resembling a Beretta model APX.

The 23-year-old suspect is facing a Possession of a Weapon charge and has since been released on an Appearance Notice.
