Manitobans looking to get rid of books are encouraged to donate them to the Children's Hospital Book Market.

After two years on hold due to COVID-19, the book market opened again this fall and raised over $246,000 for sick and injured kids who need HSC Children’s Hospital.

The fall sale has created room in the Book Market sorting centre, allowing them to accept more books.

Manitobans are encouraged to drop off books at Winnipeg fire halls or Dufrense Furniture Stores in Manitoba.

Funds raised for the Foundation at Book Market will go towards the $75 million Better Futures campaign.

The Better Futures campaign focuses on three areas of strategic priority in pediatric health care: critical infrastructure and facilities, leading-edge pediatric research on childhood illnesses, and innovative programs to bring comfort to families in the hospital, like the Child Life programming the Book Market supports.

The spring Children's Hospital Book Market will take place April 21 and 22, 2023, at St. Vital Centre.
