To raise critical funds for sick and injured kids, the Children's Hospital Book Market is hosting a special one-day pop-up sale.

On Saturday, June 17 at St. Vital Centre, everyone is welcome to purchase books to add to their summer reading list at this summer pop-up sale.

A wide variety of genres will be available to shop through, along with vintage mysteries fiction books as well as comics, music (vinyl LPs, 78s, and 45s) and more.

This is a sale only and book donations will not be accepted. Anyone wishing to donate gently used books can drop them off at Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Stations and any Defresne store in Manitoba.

All proceeds from this special summer sale will go towards providing comfort for kids and their families in the hospital. This includes music therapy, the library program, CHTV (the hospital’s closed-circuit television station with content just for kids) and a playroom with toys, games, crafts and a mini hospital where kids can play out their experiences with treatments and procedures.

The Children's Hospital Book Market pop-up sale will open at 10 a.m. and will go on until 6 p.m.
