A special weather statement from Environment Canda is revealing that Tuesday and Wednesday could see high temperatures.

Environment Canda says that temperatures are expected to soar in the City of Winnipeg on Tuesday and Wednesday, climbing to above 30 degrees.

The humidex is expected to reach the mid- to upper-30s.

They add that in addition to high temperatures, there is the potential for thunderstorm activity over the coming days.

"Areas in southeastern Manitoba affected by recent heavy rains may see more torrential rainfall; on Wednesday, the region could see narrow bands of training thunderstorms resulting in significant rainfall accumulation," Environment Canda says in a statement.

A cold front is expected to sweep through the province on Wednesday night, cooling the province down.
