Concerns are being raised by community organizations over how to help the homeless stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Across the country, the common worry is that the virus will spread like wildfire through the homeless population because proper screening protocols and housing options aren't available.

Dave Feniuk is the general manager of Agape Table, a soup kitchen in Manitoba. He says they are taking a number of steps to make sure their guests are safe including, handing out bagged meals and making sure guests are two metres apart at all times while they wait in line for their food.

They are also screening and taking the temperature of all of the volunteers and staff who are helping out at Agape Table.

Today on Connections, Dave will help us to understand what the situation is like for those living on the streets, and how we can help them during this challenging time.
