The province has hit a massive milestone in COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

As of Friday morning, 1,003,678 doses of vaccine have been administered. Most of these are first doses, as this week the province hit another milestone of 70 per cent of all adults receiving their first COVID-19 vaccine.

A total of 1,154,390 doses of the three vaccine types have arrived in Manitoba, to date.

The Leila supersite is doing vaccine drop-ins next week for first doses for the COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccine second-dose eligibility is expanding to people who received their first dose on or before May 6.

All other previous second-dose eligibility continues, including for Indigenous people and people with specific health conditions. First dose eligibility is for everyone aged 12 and older.

Those looking to get their first COVID-19 vaccine can do that even sooner at a Winnipeg supersite.

A vaccination site at 770 Leila Avenue will be open for walk-in appointments from Tuesday to Thursday at specific times.

This includes:

  • Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
  • Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

All other appointments can be made by calling 1-844-626-8222 (1-844-MAN-VACC) or going online
