Manitoba has reached its first COVID-19 vaccination goal.

As of Monday, 71.5 per cent of all Manitobans have received their first COVID-19 vaccine, and 25.4 per cent their second. Manitoba needed to reach 25 per cent for second doses to announce reopenings.

To date, 1,156,966 doses of vaccine have been administered.

Second-dose eligibility

Those who got their first COVID-19 vaccine on or before May 25 can now book their second vaccine. On Tuesday, that will open further for people who got their vaccine on or before May 29.

Appointments can be made online or by calling 1-844-626-8222 (1-844-MAN-VACC).

Pfizer doses continue to be limited for youth aged 12-17, as a supply disruption is making appointments "not generally available." Over the weekend, parents reported being able to give their second dose of Pfizer vaccine appointments to their children.

More vaccines coming

This week three Moderna shipments, totalling 240,520 doses, are arriving. Pfizer shipments are seeing  87,750 doses.
