It's some assembly required for these dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs started arriving in containers last week for an upcoming exhibit at the Manitoba Museum.

The unpacking started yesterday, so if you saw some dinos, or dino parts, in downtown Winnipeg, don't be alarmed.

Manitoba Museum communications specialist Jody Tresoor says the World's Giant Dinosaurs exhibit runs May 19th to September 4th, and will be showing in the newly expanded Alloway Hall.

She's expecting it to bring out some crowds.

"We have had dinosaur exhibits before and they're very popular. It's like a fairy dust at a museum; to have dinosaurs just brings -- of course, kids come out because they just love them, there's an innate love of dinosaurs with children. But also older kids and certainly adults are fascinated by these creatures."

The dinosaurs will be in skeletal, robot, or sculpture form.

A life-sized triceratops is already up on the museum plaza, but it's still waiting for its legs to be installed.

Tresoor says the museum is developing programming to go along with the exhibit, such as a family sleepover. The museum will be open Friday evenings for the duration of the exhibit's run.
