The two-day Awesome Kidmin Conference is happening this weekend, and anyone interested in the sessions still has time to register.

For anyone involved in kids ministry, there are two portions to the Awesome Kidmin Conference. Friday during the day is geared towards those in leadership in kids ministry and it's $60 to attend. On Friday evening and the Saturday break-out sessions, anyone who loves kids and Jesus can enjoy the conference for $60. If people want to attend both aspects, online or in-person, it's $100.

"We have spots available because it is a hybrid event," says Heidi Schartner, one of the planners. "You can choose to stay online and participate in the conference fully that way. Or you can come to the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, which is our host church for this year, and we have availability for the Friday and Saturday events there as well."

The keynote speaker is Christie Penner Worden.

"Friday in the evening is our first main session and that is with Christie and we have a worship team that's leading us in worship as well. So that starts at 7:00 o'clock in the evening and then Saturday is all of our breakout sessions and that runs all throughout."

People that are interested in attending the event online or in Winnipeg have until Thursday, March 10 to register.

"If you are involved in children's lives and you have a heart for Jesus, this conference is for you. The tools that we are trying to equip people with are are so valuable for anyone that is passionate about children and getting them to know Jesus."

The conference will offer time for those in kids ministry to connect with each other as well.

"There's a lot of questions that are being asked, a lot of things that kids are going through, and this is the kind of conference that gives you the tools that you need to be able to really have a a firm foundation on how you can best engage children leading Jesus into their hearts and deepening their faith."
