Winnipeg Jets are welcoming fans to join them during their training camp to bring excitement for the new season beginning.

"It's essentially a kick-off to our season for the past number of years," says Kory Harnum, manager of community relations for the Winnipeg Jets. "Our Jets are in training camp, so we join them out at the Bell MTS Ice Plex and it's essentially one large festival to get our fans excited for the upcoming season."

The upcoming event will include activities for all ages, including inflatables, bounce castles, Mickey Moose, stage performances, food and drinks, interviews by coaches, management and players and a chance to watch the hockey team practice during the training camp.

"There's everything you want at a festival and we're really excited to have it back end up running again."

This is the first fan fest since 2019, and Harnum says that just like every other organization they had to make the most of it.

"It took a turn and when you take a turn you try to make the most of it. We still wanted to get in the community, we still wanted to give back because there's a population of folks that still need our help, whether it's collecting clothes or money or even as simple as school visits that we do annually, finding a way to do those virtually and still making that possible. So, it was a lot of thinking and redirecting but still in a way to make things possible. We're slowly getting on the other side of this and we're really excited to kick off the season and hopefully, that's just the start of what we call maybe a normal season once again."

Among the players, management members and coaches that will be at the Jets Fan Fest, there will also be Jets alumni players that will be attending the festival. There will be an opportunity for attendees to grab an autograph, mingle and take pictures with all Jets members throughout the event.

"It's the first opportunity that folks can see our team on the ice, the new product and what we have and the lines that are rolling through practice and scrimmages and those things."

For anyone interested in attending Jets Fan Fest it is free entry, however, due to limited space capacity, the public must claim tickets on the Winnipeg Jets website.
