An 85 year old has died after drowning in the creek 55 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of a drowning in Netley Creek on Monday, August 19.

RCMP says, "An 85-year-old male swam without a life-jacket to recover his drifting boat and began to struggle."

RCMP, along with another boater, pulled him from the water and began to provide CPR. 

The male was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
