Rain overnight and temperatures hovering around the freezing mark has made for a slippery and foggy start to Thursday. 

Roads inside the city were covered in a thin layer of ice in some parts of Winnipeg.

While there are currently no fog advisories in effect in Manitoba. However, visibility is severely reduced in some areas, including the City of Winnipeg.

St. Boniface had near-zero visibility in some parts of the community Thursday morning.

The fog will dissipate later this morning and make way for a sunny sky.

However, clouds will return overnight and Winnipeg could possibly see thunderstorms on Friday afternoon. There is a 40 per cent chance of showers on Saturday, too.
