Nikolaj Ehlers, Paul Stastny and Adam Lowry scored during a 3 minute and 27-second span early in the third period as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Edmonton Oilers 6-4 Tuesday night at Bell MTS Place.

Ehlers, who also chipped in with three assists, potted his team-leading fifth goal of the season 3:19 into the third which tied the game at 3-3.

Andrew Copp also had a four-point night with two goals and two assists and Mathieu Perreault scored his first of the season at 14:37 of the first period which cut Edmonton’s lead to 3-2.

The second period was scoreless.

Leon Draisaitl, Adam Larsson, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid replied for the Oilers.

Winnipeg netminder Connor Hellebuyck faced 26 shots while Edmonton’s Mikko Koskinen made 27 saves.

The Jets (5-2) play their fourth of a seven-game homestand Saturday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
