The average price of fuel has dropped again across Winnipeg and Manitoba.

With summer vacation just around the corner, and many families preparing for long trips, the news is welcome. Gas prices across the country have dropped an average of 9.6 c/l. The national average now sits at $1.03 a litre.

In Winnipeg and Manitoba, the average price is 87.55 c/L, and 90.8 c/L respectively, making Manitoba the cheapest place to fill up.

"With the national average for gasoline dropping to an average of $1.03 a litre, Canadian drivers, especially in the west, can take comfort in knowing they are paying prices for this time of year not seen since 2010," said Dan McTeague, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy. "The week ahead, coming into the Canada Day long weekend looks even more affordable as the country celebrates its 150th anniversary."

On June 26, 2013, prices in Winnipeg averaged 134.07 c/L.
