Jodi King is opening up to her fans about seeking therapeutic help for the first time and is encouraging others to do so as well if they have been unsure.

For nearly the last two years, King and her husband Chris experienced many hardships, their house flooding was one of the major ones which proved to be the most difficult. She has now taken to Instagram to share with her followers the struggle she faced during that time.

"On my way to my first counseling session. New territory for me, but long overdue! Chris & I "soldiered through" for the last year and a half since the flood but I’m kinda done with that. I think going for therapy/counseling is one of the strongest things I can do. There can be shame attached to getting help, but I don’t believe that’s how God feels about it," says the caption.

The video goes on to say that friends of the duo have come up to her encouraging her to seek professional help because the couple cannot always counsel themselves and God will be there with them to guide them along the way.

"I know a lot of Christians think that it's weak or weird or you only need The Counsellor," says King in the video. "Well, The Counsellor counselled me to get counselling and I want to encourage anyone there on the fence about it."

King says that nobody should feel shameful for seeking therapy and they should honour their journey.

A day later, Love & The Outcome posted the official release of their newest Christmas single, "The Wonder of Christmas." Which is a new song that provides a different look at the birth of Jesus, through the lens of a parent.
