Greg Laurie releases cartoon based off evangelistic tract created during Jesus Revolution days

Greg Laurie, evangelist and pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, is preparing to release a cartoon. 

The first episode, 'The Bridge Is Out,' will feature two characters, Ben Born Again and his buddy, Yellow Dog.

"I am excited to announce that my cartoon characters are now animated, and our first cartoon is coming very soon!" said Laurie in a post on social media.

“I want to tell these little stories but they have a heavenly meaning,” he added. “I want to reach people with humor but then they have something bigger to say.

The animated characters are based on a little evangelistic tract he created in his Jesus Revolution days.

"If you saw the Jesus Revolution, you remember that when I was younger, I drew a little evangelistic tract called “Living Water.” God used it to touch thousands of people. I have been asked if we would release it again. The answer is YES!"

Laurie says the cartoon will be both entertaining and evangelistic.

“This took a lot longer than I thought it would take, but it was a lot of fun," he said in a video he posted on YouTube last year. "I would hope that when people see this animation, it’s not just kids that like it, it’s people of all ages." 

The animated series is set to be released on the Harvest+ app Feb. 1, 2024.
