Due to the success of the library donation program, Winnipeg Harvest has extended the program to March 15.

In conjunction with I Love to Read month, Winnipeg Harvest teamed up with the Winnipeg Public Libraries to encourage donations across the city. The program was so successful, they decided to continue for another half a month.

"We extended it and you can donate at any of the 20 library locations throughout the city," Kylie Exner, Winnipeg Harvest's Development Associate said. "We don't know [how much was donated] quite yet . . . but we're looking forward to it."

Harvest connected with Winnipeg Library because of their connected passion, which is "nourishing kids minds as well as their bodies." Exner wanted to remind everyone that you can bring a food donation to the library, or stop by Winnipeg Harvest to drop off your donation and take a tour.

On April 9, there is another library event coming up called 'Book 2 Eat', which combines the world of food and books. Winnipeg Harvest is a big part of the event this year.
