A busy highway northwest of Winnipeg is open once again after being closed for several hours following an overnight collision.

Police had closed Highway 6 approximately 1.6 KM north of Warren, Man., just before midnight. The highway was closed to traffic in both directions while emergency crews responded.

Manitoba Infrastructure says that the highway was reopened around 4:30 a.m.

There is no word at this time on how many vehicles were involved or injuries of people involved.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
