Thanks to the prayers of CHVN listeners, a Winnipeg woman says she is slowly but surely recovering from a knee surgery which will allow her to walk again.

Tracy Hendrickson was in a series of unfortunate car accidents 10 years ago which left her with arthritis in her legs. After years of being able to move around with a walker, she began losing strength in her leg muscles.

Due to the increased pain and leg complications, she was advised to undergo surgery. "I learned God sometimes needs to work through the hands of a physician," Hendrickson says. She says that at one point she was told that she would be paralyzed but now her legs have been healing and she is able to walk without human assistance and with a walker for short periods of time.

"It may not seem like it but He is there through every cry, tear, and laugh"

She is currently staying at the Health Science Centre and pursuing walking rehabilitation appointments at Concordia Hospital for the past 50 days.

During a difficult day, she found herself asking God, "How can I do this?"  During the CHVN Day of Prayer in 2019, she called the station, asked for prayer and has been providing CHVN updates ever since. Although she has struggled and felt alone at times, she is hopeful and in recovery.

On January 15, 2020, she was approved to spend a night at her home over the weekend, where she will be able to attend church on Sunday morning.

She says it felt amazing knowing people are praying for her. "It may not seem like it but He is there through every cry, tear, and laugh."
