Christian singer Megan Danielle is amazed at what God has done for her after making it to the grand finale of American Idol and coming in second place.

"What a wild and unforgettable ride!" said Megan Danielle in a Facebook post. "I can't wait to see what else God has in store for me."

Danielle first auditioned for the show in February, receiving a golden ticket.

"I hit the jackpot! I got the golden ticket (and sang with Lauren Daigle?!), and I'm heading to Hollywood! Thanks so much, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie!"

She quickly made her way to the top, eventually landing in the top three alongside Iam Tongi and Colin Stough.

"I think Megan Danielle has earned her right to be there, and she's got a new beautiful confidence," said Katy Perry. 

Danielle had a full-circle moment performing a duet with Lauren Daigle during the finale. The pair sang 'These Are The Days' and 'Thank God I Do.'

This was the second time Megan had the opportunity to sing with her favourite artist. When Megan Danielle first auditioned for the show, she sang Lauren Daigle's song, 'You Say' and was surprised when Lauren showed up and surprised her at the audition. 

"I was born to share the love of Jesus. Even though I fail every day, I sin, and I’m not perfect… I would never claim or want to be perfect. I know it is so easy to get trapped in what the world wants of you and lose focus of His word because of what the world wants… but I am here to tell you, it is all going to be okay. God loves us & WE need to share more of Him!" said Megan Danielle in a Facebook post.

18-year-old Iam Tongi from Hawaii took the top spot, followed by Megan Danielle and Colin Stough in third place. Following the finale, fans quickly took to Facebook to show their support for Megan.

"I love your voice, but more importantly, I love your faith and the fact that you aren't ashamed of it. You are going to go places in God's perfect timing. Congratulations!" said a fan on her Facebook page.

"God already has something in store for you. You are an AMAZING HOLY SPIRIT-FILLED woman that God has right where he wants you!! You did such an amazing job. Every time you opened your mouth, my wife and I could feel the Holy Ghost all over us!!! You have such an anointed spirit as you sing!!! Keep up doing God's work!! We love you so much!!"

Megan Danielle released her first single, 'Dream Girl' and is currently on a media blitz.
