Previously a contestant on The Voice, Jack Cassidy is releasing his first Christian single, "Run at the Giant", which is all about conquering his 'giant' of drug addiction.

Being in the spotlight comes naturally for Jack Cassidy, coming from a line of performers. He is the nephew of David Cassidy from "The Partridge Family" and his grandmother is Oscar Award-winning actress, Shirley Jones.

In a recent interview with Christian Post, Cassidy says, "My faith is the number one thing in my life and has such deep emotional meaning that resonates with me. Every time I go to write a song, I pretty much can’t help but write to Jesus, or at least something about love and spirituality."

This song emulates the David and Goliath story, as Cassidy sings about any giant people may be facing, can be overcome through the power of God.

He says, ""Run at the Giant" is about how the biggest hurdles and challenges in our lives, even the things that have completely crippled us, are now possible to face and to overcome now that God is with us, and is working on us, and teaching us to charge in faith."
