A driver appearing in court later this year after a four-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

During the morning rush on Wednesday, a woman driving westbound on the Perimeter Highway attempted to take the Highway 6 exit but was unsuccessful. RCMP Manitoba says she then drive through the ditch, crashing into three other vehicles on the other side that was stopped t the intersection.

Witnesses told police they tried to help the woman, but then she brandished a knife. 

At around 8 a.m. emergency crews were called. The driver was treated and released by paramedics. Two of the three vehicle's drivers,  a 43-year-old female and a 48-year-old male from Winnipeg received non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP brought the woman to the Stonewall detachment. They requested a breath sample and she refused. The 31-year-old is now facing Refusal to Comply with a Demand in an Accident Resulting in Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose charges.

She was released and is set to appear in court on December 1.
