Labour is at an end for some Winnipeg employees, at least for one day.  The Labour Day weekend is upon us so be ready for a few Winnipeg office closures around the city this weekend.  Here are the operating hours for City of Winnipeg facilities and services.

All civic offices are closed on Monday, September 1, 2014.

Recycling/Garbage Collection

Recycling, garbage and yard waste will be collected as normally scheduled for those with Monday as a collection day.

Winnipeg Transit

On Monday, September 1, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres will be closed on Monday, September 1.

Regular hours are in effect for Leisure Centres on Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31 with the exception of St. James Civic Centre pool and fitness facility,
which is closed from Saturday, August 30 to Monday, September 1.

Swimming Pools

All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools will be closed on Monday, September 1.

Weather permitting; the following outdoor pools will be open Monday:
Kildonan Park
Transcona Kinsmen
Fort Garry Lions
Freight House

Wading Pools

Weather permitting; the following 16 wading pools will be open on Monday, September 1:

Amherst Park, McKittrick Park, Brock Cordova Park, Machray Park, Bronx Park Community Centre, Norquay Community Centre, Central Park, Pascoe Park, Dakota Park,
Shaughnessy Park, JH Bruns Park, Transcona Centennial, John Steele Park, Vimy Ridge Park, Keenleyside Park, and Westdale.

Spray pads will also be open on Monday, September 1.

Libraries

All Winnipeg Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, September 1.
Online services, including catalogue searches, requests/renewals, databases, and eBooks are available anytime at Winnipeg Public Library.

Winnipeg Parking Authority

The Winnipeg Parking Authority will closed be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday during the Labour Day long weekend

Golf Courses

Harbour View, Crescent Drive, John Blumberg, Kildonan Park and Windsor Park Golf Courses will be open throughout the Labour Day long weekend including Monday, September 1.
