Laura Story announced that she and her husband have welcomed their fourth child and say that "God answers prayers."

Two weeks ago Story shared that the family was told by doctors that the baby would be born with a cleft lip and palate. She said that they wouldn't know more about what complications that might mean until after the baby boy was born.

She asked her fans to pray "for his continued development and for our family as we anticipate how to best care for him."

A cleft lip and palate occur when a baby’s lip or mouth do not form properly during pregnancy, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP). This can cause complications with feeding and speech, as well as making those babies more susceptible to ear infections.

Last week Story shared, "As I wait to meet with the doctor to hear more about baby Timothy’s cleft lip and palette, I am reminded of what I read this morning in Psalm 33. If praise befits the upright, worry must befit those who don’t know God or don’t believe that He really is in control. God, give me the faith to choose faith over worry, trusting that my life (and Timothy’s) is held securely in the palm of your hand."

Timothy William was born March 20, 2018 at 1:23 a.m. He weighed nine pounds, eight ounces.

While he was born with a cleft lip, Story said on social media, "Praising God for no cleft palate!!! #Godanswersprayers."
