Canadian-born Christian artist Elias Dummer is excited and expects great things from his newest single.

The single, 'Expectation,' was released on July 8. It's the first single on his upcoming album, The Work Vol. II.

"As I’ve been working on #TheWorkVol2 it’s weighed heavy on my heart that these songs so often become people’s prayers. They shape us as we sing them," says Dummer on a Facebook post.

He's no stranger to music, previously leading the highly acclaimed CCM band The City Harmonic, and before that leading worship in a church in Hamilton, Ontario.

"It *matters* what we say and sing. I’m praying that what God has allowed me to do so far and what He’s given me to do now will encourage and challenge you to live a life faithful to Jesus."

The City Harmonic played Christian singles like 'Manifesto' and 'Holy (Wedding Day)' while touring from 2009 until 2017 when the band split. Dummer wanting to still make music released work on his own album in Feburary of 2019, The Work Vol. I.
