The creator of the Winnipeg Christmas Light Map has been defrosting her map-making skills to create a database for fellow winter lovers.
Those seeking out winter adventures are turning to Carol Cassel's latest project: her Winnipeg Winter Activities map.
"It is nice if you want to get out of your neighbourhood," Cassel says. "Even if you don't know your neighbourhood very well, everything is in one spot to find easily."
Sledding, skating, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing locations are highlighted on the map. As of last week, Cassel's map has had 20,000 views.
"I wasn't expecting it to be so sought after. People have been very excited to see it and they have been using it."
Before Christmas, Cassel's signature Christmas Lights Map had more than 100,000 views.
