The first day of snowfall is pairing well with warm, deep-fried chicken for one homeschool household.
Angela Wiebe and her crew was the latest winner for the Chicken Chef Lunch Break. Wiebe and her husband live just outside of Winnipeg in East St.Paul.
"Angela was a teacher at MBCI for five years before she made the decision to stay home when her first son was born," says Denise Willerton, Wiebe's mother. She's the one who nominated Wiebe for the lunch.
She has been homeschooling her three sons since the start of the pandemic, but this school year she took on two more neighbourhood boys.
"She is doing an amazing job with all five of these boys and I know she would be so blessed to have lunch delivered on one of their busy school days."
The group also received movie passes from Landmark Cinemas and a gift card to Perogy Planet. With growing boys, it's sure to be put to use.
