Authorities have a man in custody following the killing of a 30-year-old man.

The Winnipeg Police Service says two men who knew each other were in a physical altercation on Friday afternoon in the 400 block of Agnes Street. When officers arrived at 4:20 p.m., they found Russel Gibeault, a 30-year-old Winnipeg man, with severe injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he shortly died of his injuries.

The other man in the altercation, a 34-year-old Winnipeg man, was located in the South end of Winnipeg by officers. He is being charged with Second Degree Murder and remains in custody.
