Jacob Palmer was hanging off the edge of a bridge on April 25, just moments from dropping 70 feet and ending his life, when a stranger called out “Don’t do it, man, Jesus loves you!”

That stranger was Collin Dozier, and on the edge of that bridge, he shared the gospel with Palmer.

Talking about the night on that bridge, Palmer said in an online post "Hopeless, empty, dead, and trying to fill a void for so long is the only way to describe those lingering emotions in that dark place that never seemed to go away. At the given time, jumping felt like my only option left."

Instead, he found a new friend in Dozier and made the decision to follow Jesus.

Palmer struggled with addiction and was high on a variety of street drugs at the time he was contemplating suicide.

On June 2 Palmer was baptized. "Today I went public and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The removal of all the dirt, sins, and my past is now gone."
