The Manitoba Ag Ex in Brandon is the latest in a long line of events cancelled this year in the city due to COVID-19.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, the Manitoba Summer Fair, as well as Midway Madness, were previously cancelled.

Together, these events were expected to generate more than $18 million in economic activity.

Greg Crisanti, president of Provincial Exhibition, the non-profit organization and agricultural society that produces the events, says the health and safety of the community comes first.

The Manitoba Ag Ex, where producers showcase and market cattle, was set for the last week of October.
