The RCMP is asking the public for help in locating a man from Swan River, Man. who is evading the police. 

RCMP continues to ask for the public’s assistance in locating 31-year-old Matthew Barker. He is wanted on warrants from the Nipawin RCMP, Tisdale RCMP, Hudson Bay RCMP and Swan River RCMP.

Barker's charges include the dangerous operation of a conveyance, failure to stop while being pursued by a police officer and trafficking stolen property. 

Officers from Saskatchewan RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team and Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team, Manitoba RCMP’s Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team, along with officers from numerous detachments, are actively trying to locate and arrest him. An investigation has determined he is actively evading the police.

Barker may be in Saskatchewan or Manitoba. He is from the Swan River, MB area and frequently travels to the Nipawin, Tisdale and Hudson Bay area, though his current whereabouts are unknown.

He is described as 5’11” and approximately 250 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos on his forearms and a large tattoo on his neck.

Barker may be armed and is considered dangerous. The public should not approach him.
