Manitoba has announced $2 million for hunter education and safety.

The money will endow the Hunter Education and Safety Fund, which the province says will support the Manitoba Wildlife Federation in activities that educate, train and recruit hunters.

Agriculture and Resource Development Minister Blaine Pedersen says the endowment will provide perpetual funding for programming.

He says it will also ensure resources are available to sustain and improve programming for generations to come.
